Let me start with the slot machines because this is probably my biggest gripe. I have been visiting the MGM Springfield at least once a week since they opened last year and I have to say I am not happy with the way things are going with this casino. This review pertains the the casino only, not the hotel. How is the possible? This is frustrating because there were 2 Cleopatra machines before one was removed for yet another lighting reel game. There is a Cleopatra slot machine that has been out of service since October. The slot machines in the high limit room are uninspiring.
In recent months I was at The Beau Rivage, Borgata, and MGM National Harbor, non of which had any “out of service” slot machines. Twin River Casino changes their slot machines all the time and yet it somehow happens without anyone noticing. I have been visiting casinos for more than 20 years and never have I seen this. I took pictures from my visit last night and if you add up the number of out of service slot machines it would equal about 1/3 of the gaming floor.
Why have so many out of service slot machines at one time. Week after week there are dozens of slot machines “out of service”.
